Cub Scout Advancement

Cub Scout Advancement - The Cub Scout Program has two basic features, Rank Advancement, and the Academics and Sports Program. The Cub Scouts Academics and Sports Program is one method of addressing the third aim of Scouting: the development of physical, mental and emotional fitness. A variety of recognition items are available for the boys who participate in the program; belt loops, pins, patches, etc. All program requirements are listed here.

Disney VoluntEARS   Disney Parents, we are asking for your assistance. By contributing your personal time and expertise to a meaningful outreach project, such as Cub Scouts Pack 320, through the Disney VoluntEARS program, Disney will make a donation to our Pack. Your contribution will positively impact your community and make the lives of our children more magical. Please contact our Committee Chairman, Patrick McMullen, if you would like to learn more.

Fees

Registration Fee: $20.00/year
Payable to 'Boy Scouts of America'

The annual dues are $60 per Scout.  Payments can be made by cash or check. Checks should be made out to 'CFC BSA / Pack 320'. Dues are designed to cover the following items, but are not limited to:

  • Award earned such as belt loops, pins and patches
  • Pack & Den meeting materials
  • Facility usage fees
  • Assist in Blue & Gold Banquet and Arrow of Light celebration

In addition to the annual dues certain events, such as campouts, will require additional expenses.  Examples of this includes the cost of pack provided meals during campouts, and site fees charged by the campground and other costs specifically related to that event.

Recruiter Strip   A Recruiter Strip is awarded to a Cub Scout the first time he is successful in getting a friend, relative, classmate, or other acquaintance to join Pack 320. It is worn BELOW the right pocket on their uniforms.

Pack Rechartering

Every year, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) requires that each Pack recharter. The BSA renews its federal charter each year through a formal reporting to Congress. The BSA in turn, have granted charters to sponsoring (chartered) organizations. And like the BSA and the U.S. Congress, these chartered organizations must report to Scouting once each year to renew their local charters. Chartered organizations are issued a charter, effective for one year, to operate a Cub Scout Pack. The charter year is not necessarily the same as the calendar or program year.

Pack Rechartering for Dummies

Internet Rechartering is a Web-based method for units to renew their charters from any online location. With Internet Rechartering, you can indicate returning members, add new members, and update information for an individual or the chartered organization.
