| Scouting For Food |
November |
In the Law of the Pack, a cub scout gives good will and in the Boy Scout Promise, a boy scout promises to help other people at all times. By participating in a Scouting for Food program, scouts come a step closer to fulfilling those words. Across the country, in many councils and districts, thousands of troops and packs with millions of scouts involved collect tens of millions of pounds of food which is distributed to needy neighbors. Scouting For Food occurs on the 1st and 2nd Saturday of November, from approximately 8am to 11am.
| Raingutter Regatta |
November |
The Raingutter Regatta is a fun and exciting race. Although the seas are only 10-foot lengths of raingutter filled with water, and the ships a mere 6 inches long, the race is a very exciting event. (more)

| Blue and Gold Banquet |
February |
Most Cub Scouts celebrate Scouting Anniversary Week in February with a "birthday party" called the Blue and Gold banquet. In nearly all packs across the country, the Blue and Gold banquet is the highlight of the year. It brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer. It's often the pack meeting for February.
| Arrow of Light Ceremony |
February |
The Arrow Of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouting, and is the only badge of Cub Scouting rank that may be worn on the Boy Scout uniform. Webelos Scouts that aspire to this achievement have worked very hard to get here. They deserve pomp and circumstance in an Arrow Of Light ceremony. This is probably the most significant ceremony that a Cubmaster and/or Webelos Den Leader will perform in their Scouting work.
The Scout Fair is an annual Council event. Each Pack participates by having an exhibit booth and conducts a Cub Scout activity for fair attendees. Hundreds of Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops perform camping demonstrations, teach crafts, and show-off their scout craft. |
