About Us

Who We Are

Cub Scouts Pack 320 welcomes all boys and girls from Kindergarten through 5th Grade who typically attend schools in the Independence Elementary and Keene's Crossing Elementary area.   Attendance at either of these schools is not mandatory. We are a 100% volunteer-run Cub Scouts pack that helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that will influence their adult lives.

We are a family program. Family involvement is essential to Cub Scouting's success. We're sensitive to the realities of present-day families. Many Cub Scouts do not come from traditional two-parent homes. Some Scouts live with a single parent or with other relatives or guardians. Cub Scouting considers a Scout's family to be the people with whom he or she lives.

Den Meetings and Pack Meetings

Den Meetings and Pack Meetings are held at Bridgewater Middle School during the school year, starting in late August and ending in late May. Our meetings follow the Orange County Public Schools calendar, so we do not meet on school holidays. We begin gathering acitivities at 6:15 and start meetings at 6:30 unless otherwise noted. Occasional “Go See It” and other events are held at offsite locations. We have a very limited calendar for June, July, and early August activities (typically one optional activity per month).

Den Meetings

The Pack is divided into smaller groups called Dens. Your child’s den is determined by his or her grade level:

  • Lion - Kindergarten
  • Tiger - 1st Grade
  • Wolf - 2nd Grade
  • Bear - 3rd Grade
  • Webelos - 4th Grade
  • Arrow of Light - 5th Grade

Pack Meetings

The Pack (all Dens) meet as a group once a month (typically on the first Monday) in lieu of a Den Meeting. The Pack Meeting allows us to celebrate as an entire Pack. At these meetings we recognize all Scouts who have earned awards in the previous month. (Parents: You must notify your Scout's Den Leader of any awards or recognition your child has earned.) Most Pack meetings have activities scheduled as well to entertain the families and develop friendship across the Dens.

Each Den is responsible for hosting a Pack Meeting. By hosting the Pack Meeting the Den is responsible for room setup, decorations, flag ceremony, etc.

How to Join Pack 320

You can come to Bridgewater Middle School on a Monday at 6:15pm or you can request information with our Membership Chair.

Charter

Pack 320 is chartered by the Keene's Crossing Elementary School Advisory Council (SAC). The chartered organization provides a suitable meeting place and facilities for Pack events, adult leadership, and opportunities for a healthy Scouting life for the youth under its care.
